Help for adding
To create or add informations in a page, you need to follow some instructions.
Creating a new page
Be careful about not recreating the same page, you can search it in the search field located at the top of the page.
There are several ways to create a page. Here is one.
When you are searching for a page in order to not recreating the same page, if it is not created, you can see "Create the page "Name of the page" on this wiki!" You can now create the page by clicking on the red link.
Don't forget to add categories, it is really important to link bands/artists with musical genres and countries. These elements are located at the Navigation's sidebar, you can see "List of Bands/Artists", "List of Musical Genres", "List of countries". I help you to add categories on the third instruction.
About references and credits, don't add pictures you don't own the rights, refer to the concerned people. It is also mandatory for your informations, think about refering to websites and books you used.
Adding informations
You can now add informations. Use a template (Template:Band/Artist or Template:Musical Genres) to display global informations at the right of the page. You can use Help Template Band/Artist and Help Template Musical Genres.
Please respect some advices on band / artists pages. The mandatory element is the infobox with global informations. This website is about discovering bands and artists. It is important to display some links on YouTube in order to allow people to hear some songs. It is important to refer to websites you used to have informations, too. Be free to add other informations. You can base your page on the Example page.
About musical genres, the only mandatory element is using the template in order to display the infobox with global informations at the right. You can add other informations, like references to bands/artists and songs. Refer to the websites you used to have informations. You can base it on the Example Genres Page.
Adding or creating categories
You can link your page to categories, it is important to have links between bands / artists and genres, countries. For musical genres, it's important too, in order to understand links between different musical genres and subgenres. For bands/artists, use the categories "Band/Artist", their musical genre(s) (for example : "Doom Metal"), and their country. For musical genres, use the categories "Musical Genre" and the musical genre (for example: "Doom Metal").
In this case, you can click on the hamburger menu located on the right and "Categories".
Displaying the summary
You can force the summary's display. Go to the hamburger menu at the top of the right corner.
Choose "Page settings" and "Always" for the parameter "Show the Table of Contents".
